Lillian + Mike | Springdale Farm | Austin, TX
Congratulations to Lillian and Mike!
Lillian has been a dear friend for years, and so when we heard she was engaged our hearts swooned! It only took one meeting for us to realize she had met her perfect match in Mike, and that they were well suited to spend the rest of their lives together.
This couple and their wedding could only really be described one way: absolutely charming! A pair of wonderful people with amazing style really had no choice but to put together an unforgettable wedding.
They chose Springdale Farm as their venue and it provided the perfect backdrop with it's scenery and ambience. Lea at Blackbird Floral was entrusted to decorate the venue and did not disappoint with a stunning array of floral arrangements adorning everything from the tables to the wedding arbor. The scene was set and the couple arrived to prepare for their big day.
Lillian and her bridesmaids got ready in an adorable remodeled trailer while Mike and his groomsmen simply put their finishing touches on out on the farm itself. Lillian wore an immaculate dress designed by herself in conjunction with seamstress Elen Paumere while Mike wore a custom suit tailored at Imperali in New York City. Makenzi Laine Carter made certain the bride's makeup was flawless while L7 Salon styled hair to perfection.
The remainder of the decor was largely done by the bride and her family, adding an extra level of style and personalization. In addition to designing the stationary and menus, the bride teamed up with her father to design and build the arbor. Her mother added her touch as well by shaping clay into some of the most lovely candle holders you will find anywhere.
With the dots on the i's and the t's crossed, it was time for this chic couple to meet at the altar. The Prime Time Ramblers provided the background music for the attendees while they waited for the bride to make her entrance, which she soon did much to the delight of her awaiting groom. Surrounded by close family and friends, Mike and Lillian said their vows, exchanged rings, and shared their first kiss while being showered by love, cheers, and applause! A wonderful moment for this couple and one that just had to bring a smile to your face. :)
With the couple now newlyweds, it was time for the reception! Bryce Gilmore, Chef at Odd Duck, crafted an exquisite menu of appetisers and entrees that left this pair of photographers wanting seconds and thirds! The groom added his voice (or rather tastebuds) to the event by creating a pair of custom signature cocktails that were the hit of the evening. Coco Paloma baked the wedding cake, while family members chipped in and created an assortment of cakes to compliment the main cake, and to satisfy any taste a guest may have. Finally, Allison Leblanc delivered cookies as the final touch on the crowd's sweet tooth.
With I do's in the books, everyone's bellies full, and the cocktails flowing it was time to let loose and party the night away! DJ Chris Scull of Chino Casino laid down one of the best wedding soundtracks we've ever heard, and made it next to impossible for anyone to resist the dance floor. After a day and evening of memorable moments it was time to send the newlyweds off to their new life together. An arch of sparklers led the new couple to their getaway ride, which had been appropriately and lovingly decorated by the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Final hugs and kisses were given and the new couple sped off into the night.
What a memorable night it was too! To Mike and Lillian, we again thank you for having us take part in such a wonderful day and we send all of our love and well wishes your way for a happy life together!
